A round of applause and a celebratory song are in order for Disney•Pixar’s Coco, which just took home the Academy Award for Animated Feature Film during today’s broadcast.
Directors Lee Unkrich and Adrian Molina as well as Producer Darla K. Anderson and Anthony Gonzalez, the voice of Miguel, accepted the award. Unkrich said: “The biggest thank you of all to the people of Mexico. Coco would not exist without your endlessly beautiful culture and traditions.”

Gael Garcia Bernal, who voiced Hector in the film, Miguel, and Natalia Lafourcade performed a heartfelt rendition of “Remember Me” during the show as well, moving us to tears at home.
