We're excited to announce that Walt Disney Pictures has begun production on a new original movie coming to Disney+! Flora & Ulysses is an original movie based on the Newberry Award-winning children's book, "Flora & Ulysses: The Illuminated Adventures" by Kate DiCamillo. Directed by Lena Khan, Flora & Ulysses tells the story of a 10-year-old Flora, an avid comic book fan, who saves a squirrel she names Ulysses only to have its unique superhero powers wreak havoc in a series of humorous and antic-filled adventures that ultimately change Flora's life forever.
Making her big-screen debut as Flora is Broadway star Matilda Lawler, with Alyson Hannigan ("How I Met Your Mother") as Flora's romance-writer mother Phyllis, Ben Schwartz ("Parks and Recreation") as her estranged father George, Danny Pudi ("Community") as an overly zealous animal control officer Miller, and newcomer Benjamin Evans Ainsworth as Flora's friend William.
With such a fun cast, we're sure this will be a hit when it comes to Disney+!
