Since Kelsey worked in the Story department on Onward, he had to draw a simpler version of Barley than you see in the movie due to the sheer number of drawings needed for the storyboards. So he’s the perfect person to teach us how to draw Barley! Kelsey breaks each step of the drawing down into the simplest terms, like “an upside-down V” and “two little Ws.” And don’t be afraid to add sound effects to your drawings if it helps you — Kelsey adds a “boop!” here and there.
