This New Trailer for Disney+’s Hamilton Will Put You in the Room Where It Happened

You know the name. Now learn his story. For the first time, experience the thrill of the Broadway sensation Hamilton, only on Disney+. If you’re not throwing away your shot as you sing every lyric by heart or if you’ve just been wondering, “what did I miss?”, we promise you’ll be satisfied.

The Schulyer Sisters from Hamilton

Experience the show as it was originally presented on Broadway, starring creator, writer, and composer Lin-Manuel Miranda, along with select members of the original Broadway cast. When Hamilton premiered in 2016, it became acclaimed as nothing short of revolutionary—and its influence spanned pop culture, art, and education.

Aaron Burr from Hamilton

For the uninitiated, Hamilton is an 11-time-Tony Award®-, GRAMMY Award®-, Olivier Award-, and Pulitzer Prize-winning stage musical that explores the life and legacy of one of America’s founding fathers, Alexander Hamilton. It was heavily inspired by the bestselling biography written by Ron Chernow, and while there are creative liberties taken with regards to the history of the events and people represented, Hamilton manages to take this story from the past and make it feel impactful and relevant in the world of today. Many like to describe it as a story of America's past, told through the lens of America’s present. In creating the show, Lin-Manuel Miranda and director Thomas Kail made the decision to cast with intentional diversity in order to reflect the modern world around us, visually showcasing how the world has changed since Hamilton's time. Trust us, with an incredible cast (including Tony Award® winners Leslie Odom Jr., Daveed Diggs, and Renée Elise Goldsberry) , and an electrifying modern score heavily influenced by hip-hop, jazz, R&B, and Broadway, if you’ve never heard the music of Hamilton until now, we can guarantee you’ll be back for more and more.

Thomas Jefferson from Hamilton

For a glimpse of Alexander Hamilton, Aaron Burr, George Washington, Thomas Jefferson, the Schuyler sisters (Angelica, Eliza … and Peggy!), King George III, and more characters you may recognize, enjoy this trailer!
