We love family movie night at our house. One of my boys' must-have snacks are tortilla chips and cheese dip. When they get rumbly in their tumbly, nothing is quite as delicious AND fun to eat like chips dipped in ooey gooey cheese.
They love to watch their favorite bear Winnie the Pooh, so themed chips and a "hunny pot" to hold the melted cheese were a natural fit. Try out this easy-to-prep Winnie the Pooh Chips and Dip for your next movie night!
Cut out a strip of paper and write "HUNNY" with a marker. Stick onto bowl using tape.
Preheat oven to 350° F.
Use kitchen scissors to cut out Winnie the Pooh shapes from your tortillas.
Place all the cut tortillas in a bowl, drizzle oil on top, and sprinkle in salt — gently tossing them until they're lightly coated. Arrange them in a single layer on a baking tray lined with parchment paper.
Bake the chips for 5 minutes, flip over, and bake for another 5. Let cool.
To prepare cheese dip, whisk butter and flour in a pot over medium heat until it becomes foamy.
Whisk the milk into the flour and butter mixture, then continue whisking while bringing it to a simmer. Continue heating until it's thick enough to coat the back of a spoon. Then turn to low heat.
Stir in the shredded cheddar, until it's all melted. Turn off heat. Then pour into Pooh's hunny pot and drip a little off the edges. Serve with baked tortilla chips.
