Season 2 of High School Musical: The Musical: The Series on Disney+ is Confirmed!

Disney+ just announced the season 2 renewal of High School Musical: The Musical: The Series, and we couldn’t be more excited! The scripted series, set at the real-life East High where the original movie was filmed, follows a group of students as they count down to opening night of their school's first-ever production of "High School Musical." Trust us, you’re gonna love it.

This morning, the cast of the show got together at Walt Disney Studios for a “surprise announcement.” They were told they’d be watching a new trailer together, but executive producer Tim Federle was actually there to break the news that High School Musical: The Musical: The Series has been picked up for season 2!

The cast also helped share the news with Kate Reinders, who plays Miss Jenn on the show, over video chat.
