Our days of wishing life was like High School Musical on a continuous loop aren’t over. Casting has kicked off for Disney Channel’s High School Musical: The Musical, an upcoming series that we are living for!
At long last, we get to walk the halls of East High once again—but this time, we get to tag along with a new group of students as they stage their very own production of High School Musical! The story unfolds over 10 episodes, and will be shot in a documentary style. Not only that, every episode will include a new rendition of one of our favorite hits from High School Musical, as well as an original song! We all know there’s nothing that can’t be settled with some music and sweet dance moves.
In the series, we’ll be getting to know characters like the class clown Ricky, a senior who loves musical theatre named Nini, an entrepreneurial student named E.J., a new student named Ashlyn, Ricky’s BFF Big Red, the ambitious Gina, a student choreographer named Vikram, and the energetic and mysterious new drama teacher of East High, Miss Jenn!
We can’t wait to meet the characters in High School Musical: The Musical who will carry on the legacy of our childhood heroes Troy Bolton, Gabriella Montez, Chad Danforth, and the rest of the Wildcats crew!High School Musical: The Musical will premiere on Disney's new direct-to-consumer streaming service.
