If clownfish are good at telling jokes, royal blue tangs are good at being deep*. Like deep-sea deep. And Dory from Finding Nemo and Finding Dory is the bluest of the blue, the deepest of the deep. Here are nine Dory quotes that are so deep that they’re even deeper than the drop off (really, really deep):
“Hey, look – balloons! It is a party!”
Here Dory is looking beyond simply the visual dimension. To her, mines are more than the sum of their parts. She rejects conformity and refuses to let fear inform her.
“Hey, conscience. Am I dead?”
Well if that isn’t an existential question, we don’t know what is.
“Yes, trust. It’s what friends do.”
Woah. What a way to sum up friendship.
“Whoa, whoa, whoa! Hey! Relax. Take a deep breath.”

Dory is great at putting things in perspective. …Not so good at moonfish charades.
